By installing or using the ZohaNur applications, or using this website, you agree to what follows. It is written to be understood rather than to be impressive.

The apps are free, and offered as they are#

ZohaNur is provided free of charge and without warranty of any kind. It is built carefully, but it is software written by one person, and it may contain errors.

Religious content is a reference, not a ruling#

This is the most important clause on this page.

ZohaNur presents Quran text, translations, hadith, biographies and guidance on acts of worship. This material is offered for reference and education. It does not constitute a fatwa, and it does not replace a qualified scholar.

• Translations are interpretations. They are not the Quran itself.
• Hadith gradings follow the scholars named alongside each collection; scholars differ.
• Prayer times are astronomical calculations. Where they conflict with your local masjid or moon-sighting authority, follow your local authority.
• The zakat calculator applies common rules to figures you enter. It cannot judge an unusual asset, a disputed debt, or your particular circumstances. Ask a scholar.
• ZohaNur AI is a language model. It can be wrong, including confidently. Do not act on a religious matter on its word.

You accept responsibility for verifying anything you intend to act upon.

Acceptable use#

Do not use ZohaNur to break the law, to attack or interfere with its services, or to redistribute its content in a way that misrepresents its source. Do not use the AI assistant to generate content that mocks, misrepresents, or incites against any faith or group.

Content ownership#

The Quran and classical hadith collections are not anyone's property. Translations, recitations and other included works belong to their respective authors, reciters and publishers, and are used under the terms described on the copyright and attribution page.

The ZohaNur name, logo, design and original code remain the property of the developer.

Availability and changes#

There is no guarantee of continuous availability of this website or of the download services. Features may change or be withdrawn. Significant changes are recorded in the release notes.

If the project is ever discontinued, notice will be given here before the apps stop being maintained. Because ZohaNur works offline and stores nothing on our servers, an installed app keeps working regardless.

Liability#

To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for loss arising from use of the apps or this website, including missed prayers due to a device failing to deliver a notification. Please do not rely on a phone alarm alone for an obligation you are answerable for.
